How many times can I start over?

Well since this is my blog, I can do what I want...ie, start over 36 1/3 times if I really want to.  So once more into the breach...I think that starting tomorrow (because it's late at night) I will cut down sweets for the next 20 days.  So the goal will be to have less sweets, not no sweets, because it doesn't seem to work to go cold turkey.  However something needs to be done, because I think I may have put on a little weight, and so that means I've been eating way too many sweets. 

So no more than 1 of the following each day - a day being from wake up to sleepy time again.  And nothing after 10 pm at all.  So 1 of the following each day, 1 ice cream novelty (ie drumstick, or klondike bar), 1 small glass bowl of ice cream (about a handful size), or 1 regular size candy bar. 

I think this is an attainable goal that I can work with, and then we will see where we go from there.  wally out!

Jonesing

Oh, I am so craving some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups...I even have some up in my room that I bought really cheap a couple of days ago. Everytime I really crave some I go and...eat some toast, or some grapes or a tunafish sandwich...all good...but not "your chocolate got in my peanut butter" or "your peanut butter got on my chocolate."

20 Days Project 3.0


Mar '09

Well here we are restarting (and by we, I mean me - and whoever in the heck is reading this)!!!  I have lost a total of 55 lbs since winter two years ago, so just a couple of months over two years.  I've started by brushing my teeth at night, and now it's time to choose the next goal.  When I stopped the last time it was because for some reason I couldn't get into the habit of writing.  I was too scared of failing, so I quit instead. 


OK - So if you look at my pictures there on the right you can see the difference between the 55lbs.  It might be a little hard to see because the sizes are the same, but I can see a slimmer face, and a smaller upper half.  Well, well, well...what should I do for my next 20 Days Project - I'm thinking NO Candy - NO Fruit Snacks -

NO Ice Cream for 20 Days + Write 15 Minutes each day for 20 Days!  Starting tomorrow.  Peace and I'm out of here!!! YO!!

To Start Again!

Okay - so it's a new year, and it's time to restart my goals.  I've pretty much switched over to diet pop.  I don't miss the regular stuff that much.  Diet Cherry Coke is probably the best tasting.  Cherry Coke Zero doesn't taste as good, which is hard to understand.  Both have no calories, no fat, no...nothing.  Just sodium.  So how can a difference between 30mg and 40mg of sodium equal such a difference in taste.  Coming in second would be Dr. Pepper Cherry Diet.  It might be up there with Diet Cherry Coke.  Oh, and then there is Mt. Dew diet.  It's up there.  Okay so basically we have Diet Mt. Dew, Diet Cherry Coke, and Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry as the best and then Cherry Coke Zero sucks.  But every once and a while, I gotta have me some Cherry Pepsi.  I wish that Pepsi still made Lemon Pepsi, or Pepsi Twist.  I'm positive that a Diet Lemon Pepsi would taste goooooooood!

Another night in Paradise!

Ok - the weekend didn't go so well.  I did fine until Saturday and then I had like a six pack of the 16.9oz bottles of Dr. Pepper over the weekend.  It was like I had a binge drinking session.  It's a very good thing that I do not drink alcohol.  I'm sure I'd be an alcoholic already.  Monday, Tues & Wed. went fine though.  No more pop and not really any craving for it, except tonight when I sat my Dad drinking a Dr. Pepper at dinner.  bye

Work & Headache Free

Well I haven't had a headache after yesterday morning.  I haven't really been tempted for caffeine either.  Today I worked pretty hard throwing the frozen load at Albertson's.  I also worked a whole lot of back stock with a co-worker Amanda.  I was in the freezer so many times today that my belly was still cold long after I got home and was eating dinner.

Ouch Again!

Post Caffeine Headaches Suck!!

You would think that I would've learned this lesson from all the other times.  Not being smart enough to learn from my past mistakes, I am doomed to repeat, and repeat, and repeat them.  It isn't all bad.  I didn't have to work today, so at least I can lay around and moan in private.  It's hard to be nice to people at work when I have a headache.  The last time I stopped pop this is what I said all the way back in January.

What's weird is that the caffeine headaches are usually resistant to my migraine medicine.  So it works a bit, but just reduces them down to 30% of normal or so.  About the same for other medication nsaids (ibuprofen, aspirin etc).  A cold pack on my temple or forehead as well.  Sometimes I try everything together and it still is not enough. 

So why the heck do I still keep doing it?  Let me know if you find out why.
